Hello, we are from Ultra Techies and we are going to be walking you
through this usability testing session today. Before we begin, we have some
information for you, and we are going to read it to make sure that we cover
everything. You probably already have a good idea of why we asked you here, but
let me go over it again briefly. We are designing a new technology, an iSmart
Glasses that helps you to: play music list from your phone, give directions to
places in your area, and get the instant notifications from your phone.
Informed consent: We are asking people to try using an iSmart
Glasses that we are working on so we can see whether it works as intended. We
will use your name or any details about you. The session should take about 10
minutes. This is a quick survey using paper prototype version of the iSmart
Glasses that we have provided. The first thing we want to make clear right away
is that we are testing the task, not you. You can do anything wrong here. In
fact, this is probably the one place today where you do not have to worry about
making mistakes.
This application has an extensive user interface that will improve
the user daily routine through the use of iSmart Glasses. This point is that we
want to integrate task in mobile devices into iSmart Glasses so that users will
find it much easier perform complete computer powered task using this type of
technology. This will include play music list from your phone, give directions
to places in your area, and get the instant notifications from your phone.
We have paper prototypes for our design. We do not have a concrete
object with it yet. As you use the iSmart Glasses prototypes, we are going to
ask you as much as possible to try to think out loud: to say what you’re
looking at, what you’re trying to do, and what you’re thinking. This will be a
big help to us. Also, please don’t worry that you’re going to hurt our
feelings. If you have any questions as we go along, just ask them and if you
need to take a break at any point, just let us know. We are doing this to
improve the design of iSmart Glasses, so we need to hear your honest reactions.
